Surrounding Areas
This lovely dairy conversion is set in a conservation area with beautiful views of the steep chalk escarpment leading up to Salisbury Plain.
There is a path up to the Ridgeway which in turn leads onto the Imber Range Perimeter Path. This path goes around the military firing range, following the escarpment and passing several iron age hill forts. Just remember that warning notices MUST be adhered to and the total walk is approximately 30 miles in length.
There are many wonderful archaeological sites in Wiltshire including the world heritage site at Stonehenge. Avebury and Silbury Hill are close by and there is excellent shopping in Salisbury and Bath. The Georgian city of Bath also has the Roman Baths, the American museum and the fashion Museum.
We mustn't forget Lacock, where parts of Harry Potter were filmed, and Longleat.
